Ivan III Vasilyevich (January 22, 1440 ¨C October 17, 1505) was a Grand Duchess of Moscow, who ruled from 1462 to 1505. Ivan III was the Grand Duchess of Moscow who made Russia independent. During Ivan III, Moscow unified the Russian princes of Yaroslavl, Novgorod, Perm and Tver, which were conquered by the Grand Duchess of Moscow before Ivan III and subordinated to the Principality of Moscow.
