Amnesty of the Supreme Court on March 19, 1975
Today, 50 years ago, on March 19, 1975 (February 7, 1975) the Supreme People's Court granted amnesty to all war criminals. The former National Party Commander of the Twelve Soldiers' Corps, Mr. Huangwei, accepted an amnesty release notice in accordance with the second meeting of the Fourth National People's Congress Standing Committee to grant amnesty to all prisoners of war and grant citizenship rights. On March 19, 1975, the Supreme People's Court declared amnesty to Yuanwei, Mr. Li, and other 293 prisoners of war. Amnesty released personnel included 290 war criminals from the former Chiang Kai-shek Group (219 military officers, 21 political personnel, 50 special officers), 2 Manchurian war criminals, 1 war criminals from the Mongolia Autonomous Government.
