English physicist, mathematician and astronomer Isaac Newton

Isaac Newton (4 January 1643 – 31 March 1727) was a great English mathematician, physicist, astronomer and natural philosopher who was born on 4 January 1643 in the village of Waltrop near Gransham, Lincoln, England, and died in London on 31 March 1727.

Isaac Newton joined the Trinity College of Cambridge in 1661 and received a bachelor’s degree in literature in 1665. Two years later in his hometown to avoid the plague. During these two years he worked out the blueprint for most important scientific creations of his life. In 1667 he was elected to the Trinity College Committee after his return to Cambridge, and in the following year he obtained a master’s degree. In 1669 he served as Professor Lucas until 1701. In 1696 he oversaw the Royal Mint and moved to London. In 1703 he served as chairman of the Royal Society. In 1706 he was elected by Queen Anne. In his late years he immersed himself in natural philosophy and theology.

Isaac Newton's most outstanding contributions to science were the creation of microgredes and classical mechanics.
