Breaking-News >> TodayHistory On January 11, 1928, British novelist Thomas Hardy died.
The late Thomas Hardy (2 June 1840 – 11 January 1928) was an English poet and novelist. Thomas Hardy died on 11 January 1928 (December 19, 1927) in the house of Dorchester, three miles away from the grasshouse he was born 87 years ago. The poor stone craftsman's son studied Greek and Latin classical culture with an architect at the age of 16, and began (and ended) his literary career as a poet. From the age of 27, the genius writer wrote a large number of works, such as "Far From the Noise", "The Mayor of Carter Bridge", "The Unnamed King" and "The Derby's House". His ashes will be placed in the Church of Wittenberg, but his heart will be buried alone because of his notorious name, Heidegger.
