The Constitution of Weimar (German: Weimarer Verfassung) is the constitution of the Weimar Republic (1919-1933). As the first democratic constitution in German history, it established a parliamentary democracy and a federal republic. The current Constitution of the Federal Republic of Germany (German: Weimarer Verfassung) still retains parts of the Weimar Constitution.
