When he heard the news of the French Revolution in February 1848, he returned to Paris day and night. His revolutionary activities led to further persecution by reactionary forces. The French government pursued him, and the Tsarist government did not allow him to return. In 1849 he came to Geneva and joined the Swiss nationality. In 1852, he emigrated to London, founded revolutionary journals such as The North Star, The Bell, and spread to Russia through various channels, and played a major role in promoting the revolutionary movement in Russia.
