Today, 67 years ago, on February 28, 1958 (January 11, 1958), the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) demanded that cadres be laid down for labor exercises. On February 28, 1958, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the Instructions on the Working Training of cadres being laid down for labor exercises. The document pointed out that most young cadres in cadres generally did not go through or did not basically go through war, mass struggle and labor production exercises. In order to establish a class awareness and business capacity, to withstand risks and to connect closely with the masses in the struggle for communism, a group of working class intellectuals should be organized to mobilize a large number of intellectuals to the factory and rural cadres to participate in physical labor
