The World Health Day was established by the United Nations World Health Organization on July 22, 1949. In order to commemorate the signing of the World Health Organization Law by 61 countries, the First World Health Assembly (June 28, 1948) decided to make the first World Health Day effective on July 22, 1948, as World Health Day, and initiated various commemorative events by countries.
