On March 26, 1867, the Italian commander Arturo-Toscani was born.

Toscanini was one of the most talented and demanding musical commanders of the century, and he was always commanded entirely by memory.

Although this century¡¯s most acclaimed commander was thin, his strong, unwavering, noble and pure qualities made him an inestimable figure of worldwide attention. If in his pursuit of perfection, he suppressed his musicians to the utmost, he would have much more to do than to force his hard work. If his famous temper and anger shouted ¡°shame!¡± and his musicians were crushed, then obviously his honesty and total dedication also aroused a sense of loyalty and enthusiasm. As one actor said, ¡°As a result, he made us play better.¡±

On January 6, 1957, Arturo-Toscani passed over 70 years of music career and died at his home in Rio de Janeiro, New York, at less than 90 years old.
