Today, 38 years ago, on March 4, 1987 (February 5, 1987), China's six largest airlines were established. In early March 1987, China's civil aviation management system reform was introduced. With the approval of the State Council, the six largest airlines were established in the country, China's former civil aviation no longer directly operate airlines, but only implement industry management. These six major airlines are based on the air management of the city, they are: Beijing's China International Airlines, China East Airlines in Shanghai, China Southern Airlines in Guangzhou, China Southwest Airlines in Chengdu, China Northwest Airlines in Xi'an and China Northern Airlines in Shenyang. These six airlines implement general management responsibility system, all enjoy the power to negotiate and sign agreements with foreign airlines, travel agencies, freight agencies, and independent accounting
