Sixty-two years ago today, on January 22, 1963 (December 27, 1962 in the lunar calendar), the Treaty of Cooperation between the Federal Republic of France and Germany was signed. On January 22, 1963, French President Charles de Gaulle and Chancellor Adenauer of the Federal Republic of Germany signed the Treaty of Cooperation between the Federal Republic of France and Germany in Paris. The treaty stipulates that the heads of government, foreign ministers, defense ministers, ministers in charge of education and youth issues and chiefs of general staff of the two countries hold regular meetings to coordinate the foreign policies of the two countries, strengthen cooperation in defense policy and youth issues, and expand mutual exchanges and exchanges.
