Breaking-News >> TodayHistory 25 January 1573 Battle of Japan
On this day 452 years ago, on January 25, 1573 (December 22, 1572 in the lunar calendar), Japan's Battle of Mitsuhara. The Battle of Sanjihara (Japanese: Sanjihara の 戦い) was a war that broke out in Sanjihara (now Hamamatsu City), Japan on December 22, the third year of Motokame (January 25, 1573). The commanders in chief of the two armies were Tokugawa Ieyasu and Takeda Shingen. This was a war with the purpose of Takeda Shingen going to Shangluo (because of Luoyang, the ancient capital of China, he led troops into Kyoto, the capital of Japan, which was called Shangluo). Takeda's army finally won and continued to advance westward, but Takeda Shingen's condition deteriorated halfway and he died of illness on the way back to the territory of Kofu (now Yamanashi Prefecture). Comments on Tokugawa Ieyasu's three-party original joint war map: The old turtle is lucky in addition to being tolerant.
