Chen Tianqiu, Hubei Huang Gong, formerly known as Qing, Qing Yuan. Born on January 4, 1896. Graduated in Wuchang Higher Teacher's School in 1919. In 1920, he was a teacher at Wuhan High School, and in the same year, in the autumn, he established a Wuchang Communist group. In 1921, he attended the first National Congress of the Communist Party of China. After the meeting, he was responsible for the Wuchang Party's organization work, and participated in the strike of the workers of the Kyoto Railway.
