Kiev Railway officially opened.

On April 1, 1906, the entire line of the Kyoghan Railway was officially opened.

After the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, the Qing court issued an edict to "implement practical administration", and railway construction was placed at the top of practical administration. In December 1895, the Qing government ordered the commercial office of Luhan Railway. However, Zhang Zhidong was blocked in many ways in the process of raising commercial shares, and had to hand over the task of building Luhan Railway to Sheng Xuanhuai. The source of funds for Sheng Xuanhuai's undertaking of Luhan Railway is mainly borrowing foreign debts. Belgium won the loan right of Luhan Railway in one fell swoop. In June 1898, the Detailed Contract for Renewal of Luhan Railway's Belgian Loan and the Contract for Luhan Railway were signed in Shanghai, borrowing 1.125 million francs from Belgium, with an interest of 5%, nine deductions, and a term of 30 years. Construction of the Beijing-Hanzhou Railway began in 1898.

The Luhan Railway's northern end of the Luhan Railway bridge to the secure part, was ordered to supervise the railway headquarters at the beginning, that is, to request the officials to build, long 132.7 km. The southern end of the Luhan Railway's exchange gate to the gate section, the Zhang Hole was built during the Belgian loan period, long 23.5 km. At the end of 1898, the company was investigated from both ends of the south and north to determine the official route of the entire route.

In September, 1905, the north-south lines were completed and connected near Zhandian Station. On November 25th, the Yellow River Iron Bridge was completed. On April 1 of the following year, the entire line was officially opened to traffic and renamed Beijing-Hankow Railway, with a total length of 1,311.4 kilometers in branch lines.
