British physiologist Harvey.

William Harvey, founder of modern physiological science, has died.

Harvey was born on April 1, 1578, from a wealthy business family. At the age of 16, he went to Cambridge to study medicine, obtained a doctorate in medicine and studied medicine in London. After 1618, he served as a private physician of the King of England. In 1628, he published his book, The Study of Animal Heart Movement, explaining the theory of blood circulation. In 1651, he published The Reproduction of Animals.

Died of illness 3 June 1657.
