On March 2, the same year, after the establishment of the Chinese Left Writers' Union, it became one of the organs' publications of the "Left Union", Jiu Yue, Wei Kim Bran had participated in the editing of the 1st volume of the 5th edition, due to the authorities' ban, the 6th edition was renamed "New Land Monthly", and the 1st edition was banned.

The inaugural issue "Editor's Supplementary Notes" explains that the journal mainly publishes "translation and introduction, creation and comment". After becoming an official publication of the "Left League", it is marked as a comprehensive publication of "literature, art, culture and society". The magazine has published many works by young writers, such as Rou Shi's Mother as a Slave, Yin Fu's A Night in a Prison, May 1st, 1929, Wei Jinzhi's Nurse, Zhang Tianyi's From Emptiness to Fullness, and works by Lou Shiyi and Lin Lin. These works mostly reflect the painful life of farmers and workers, and show their awakening and struggle. In terms of translation, emphasis is placed on introducing proletarian literary theories and works. The third issue is "March Memorial", commemorating Marx, Engels and the Paris Commune. The fifth issue is "May Festival Commemoration" to commemorate May Day and May 30th. Lu Xun's translation of Fadeev's Destruction was once serialized in Germination Monthly under the translation of Collapse.

"Budding Monthly" has a column "Miscellaneous Views on Society", which publishes and analyzes the miscellaneous feelings of society and literary debates. In this column, Lu Xun published famous essays such as The Changes of Rogue, The Task of Critics of Crescent Society, Habit and Reform, Non-revolutionary Radical Revolutionaries, We Want Critics, Zhang Ziping's Fiction, Good Government, Family-lost Capitalists' Lackeys, etc. Also writing for this column are Rou Shi, Feng Xuefeng, etc. Miscellaneous Views of Society embodies another battle feature of Germination Monthly.

Since the third issue of Sprout Monthly, news and articles about the "Left League" and other left-wing groups have been published in each issue. For example, the third issue of "News of Literary Circles at Home and Abroad" reported a preparatory meeting of the "Left League" held on February 16, 1930 under the title of "Shanghai New Literature Movement". In the fourth issue, apart from the report of "The Founding of the Left Writers' Union", Lu Xun's speech at the founding meeting of the "Left Writers' Union" was published for the first time. These news reports and articles are precious materials and documents for studying the revolutionary literary activities in 1930s.

Mumbai magazine has held several "new concept" composition competitions to date, which has had a certain influence in the country.
