On October 4, 2015 (August 22, 2015 in the lunar calendar), strong typhoon "Rainbow" hit Guangdong. The strong typhoon "Rainbow" made landfall in Zhanjiang at 2:10 pm on October 4, 2015. It is the strongest typhoon to land in Guangdong in October since 1949.
