On December 13, 1553, King Henry IV of France was born.

First King of the Bourbon Dynasty of France. He was originally the king of the small and poor Kingdom of Navarre in southern France and was a distant relative of the royal family of Valois in France. He fought as a Protestant leader in the Huguenot Religious War provoked by diehard Catholics in 1562. With his excellent military talent and good at exploiting enemy conflicts, he became the last person to laugh in this civil war. In 1589, he was crowned King of France and began the Bourbon Dynasty. Considering that France was still a country with a majority of Catholics, in 1593, Henry IV announced his conversion to Catholicism. Henry IV will be remembered in future generations with his famous saying,"Make every French farmer have a chicken in his pot." He also did achieve good achievements in economic recovery. He appointed Sully to rectify the finances, with remarkable results. In 1610, he was assassinated by a patient with "regicide paranoia".
