On this day, 62 years ago, April 25, 1963 (April 2, 1963, the Ministry of National Defense awarded the title of "Good Eighth Company on Nanjing Road". On April 25, 1963, the Ministry of National Defense issued an order awarding the Eighth Company of a certain regiment in the Shanghai Garrison the honorary title of "Good Eighth Company on Nanjing Road". The Eighth Company is a company with a glorious tradition. After the liberation of Shanghai in 1949, the Eighth Company moved from the smoke-filled battlefield to the lively and bustling Nanjing Road to guard Shanghai together with other brother companies.
