On this day, 77 years ago, on February 25, 1948 (January 16, 1948, the Kuomintang army in Yingkou revolted. On February 25, 1948, the Northeast People's Liberation Army liberated Yingkou City. The 58th Division temporarily organized by the Kuomintang, led by commander Wang Jiashan, revolted in Yingkou City, Liaoning Province. The predecessor of this division was the Fourth Northeast Security Corps. In mid-February, the Northeast People's Liberation Army surrounded Yingkou. Wang Jiashan, who had long planned to uprising, sent representatives to contact the People's Liberation Army at the end of 1947, and agreed on a specific plan for the uprising on February 23. On the 25th, Wang Jiashan led his troops to uprising and arrested the deputy commander of the 52nd Army, the mayor of Yingkou City, the captain of the Traffic Police Corps, and others who refused to uprising, taking control of the entire city of Yingkou.
