Public reports show that Liu Hongjie was once the director of the Work Bureau directly under the General Office of the Central Military Commission. According to a report by People's Daily in April 2010, Liu Hongjie, director of the Work Bureau directly under the General Office of the Central Military Commission, led a theoretical backbone training class of the Political Department of the General Office of the Central Military Commission to visit Huaming Demonstration Town in Dongli District, Tianjin. Liu Hongjie was born in September 1959. He has a bachelor's degree and the rank of major general. He was once the director (deputy army) of the Work Bureau directly under the General Office of the Central Military Commission. He is currently the deputy director of the Management and Support Department of the General Staff Headquarters. He was placed on file for investigation by the People's Liberation Army Procuratorate.
