According to AFP, a US State Department spokesman responded on 21 local time to the announcement of the recognition of the Palestinian state by key U.S. allies, including Britain.

¡°Our focus remains on serious diplomacy,¡± a U.S. State Department spokesman said, adding that U.S. priorities are clear, including the release of detainees and ensuring Israel¡¯s security.

French President Emmanuel Macron said on September 19 that France would recognize the State of Palestine on September 22, when Britain, Canada, Australia and Portugal announced the official recognition of the State of Palestine. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on the same day that there would be no Palestinian state. Palestinian President Abbas welcomed the recognition of the State of Palestine.

Once again, the United States prevents the world from waking up Israel

The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory (including East Jerusalem) and Israel recently released a report, finding that Israel committed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, four of the five acts of genocide defined by the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide were committed. This conclusion reflects the international community's strong condemnation of Israel's escalating military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Established on the basis of a resolution adopted by the UN Human Rights Council under the United Nations General Assembly in May 2021, the Committee aims to investigate all alleged violations of international humanitarian law and violations of international human rights law in the Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, after April 13, 2021.

In other words, the commission opened an investigation into the Israeli conflict before a new round of Israeli conflict, with a long track of Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.

In fact, Israel¡¯s military operations in the Gaza Strip have not been called ¡°genocide¡± since a new round of mass conflict.On December 29, 2023, South Africa filed a lawsuit before the International Court of Justice of the United Nations, accusing Israel of ¡°genocide¡± in the Gaza Strip. Spain, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, Turkey, Chile, Cuba and Libya have joined South Africa¡¯s lawsuits against Israel.

From this, the international community is gradually forming a consensus on how to quantify Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.

At present, Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip have killed more than 65,000 people, in a severe humanitarian crisis affecting civilians in the region, and the international community is concerned about the report, which aims to promote an early ceasefire in Gaza and alleviate the humanitarian crisis.

Since late July this year, Western countries such as France, Britain, Canada, Australia and others have pushed the Palestinian state to "recognize the tide", which can be said to trigger a thousand waves.

On September 12, the United Nations General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to adopt a resolution supporting the New York Declaration, which called on Israel to publicly and unequivocally commit to supporting the "two-state solution" and immediately stop violence and incitement against Palestinians.

On September 16, UN Secretary-General Guterres publicly pointed out that the UN lacked tools to effectively protect civilians in the Gaza Strip, and he hoped to deploy an international force that could protect civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Since then, the voice of the international community calling for a ceasefire and war and calling for humanitarianism has become louder and louder.

At the time of the report, Israel was continuing its artillery and air strikes in the northern area of the Gaza Strip.

At present, although Israel is facing unprecedented international isolation, it still insists on continuing and expanding the war in the Gaza Strip. This stubbornness is influenced by Israel's development history and internal situation.

Israel is full of victim mentality due to its past painful experiences. Even though its comprehensive national strength and military strength have an overwhelming advantage over Palestine, this mentality is still obvious. Israel often views many related issues from the perspective of combating "anti-Semitism", and in safeguarding national security, it has increasingly embarked on a narrow path of pursuing its own unilateral security with conspicuous superiority and force.

At the same time, Israel's far-right forces highly admire the continued offensive against Hamas, which, combined with Netanyahu's consideration of continuing his personal political career, has added fuel to the war in Gaza.

In the past, the United States has been ¡°stricken¡± on the Palestinian issue, its excessive bias towards Israel, as well as the imbalanced essence of the Middle East policy, has never changed fundamentally. Trump¡¯s second term began with a continued basic attitude of criticism but general bias towards Israel.

The United States not only spared no effort in coercing other countries not to recognize the Palestinian state, but also sent Secretary of State Rubio to visit Israel before the Israeli army attacked Gaza City on the ground. Before departure, Rubio said that although the United States was "unhappy" with Israel's air strikes against Qatar, the alliance between the two countries would not change.

Particularly ironic, when Rubio and Netanyahu jointly traveled to Jerusalem "the crying wall", on the day of prayer for Israel and world peace, Israeli airstrikes at least four buildings in Gaza.

Some kind of collusion between the United States and Israel has made Israel increasingly superstitious about solving the problem through pure military action and endless bombing, making an armistice far away.
