Song Jiaoren, who campaigned for the Republic, died on March 22, 1913
On this day, 112 years ago, March 22, 1913 (February 15, 1913, the lunar calendar), Song Jiaoren, who had campaigned for the Republic, passed away. Song Jiaoren (April 5, 1882-March 22, 1913), also known as Fisherman, Han nationality, was born in Taoyuan, Hunan Province. He was assassinated in Shanghai in 1913 at the age of thirty-two. China was the pioneer of the great democratic revolution and the founder of the Republic of China. He was the first politician to advocate the cabinet system in the early days of the Republic of China. Sun Yat-sen's elegiac couplet called Song Jiaoren: "As a citizen's protection, who is not a deceased person; Bleeding blood for the Constitution is the first person to be honest."
