The birth of Hidalgo, the father of Mexican independence

On May 8, 1753, Hidalgo, the famous leader of the Mexican independence movement, was born in a manor on the River Turbio. His father was the manager of the manor owner. Hidalgo finished primary school in the manor and went to study in the prosperous city of Balladolid in 1767. He received a Master of Arts from Nicholas Theological School in 1770, and later studied theology, obtaining a Master of Divinity in 1773. In 1803, Hidalgo went to the diocese of Dolores to take over his brother's position and became a priest. This is where Indians live, and they live a life of bare clothing and lack of food. Hidalgo talked with them in Indian language, understood their sufferings, promoted the idea of independence and freedom, taught the Indians agricultural knowledge, helped them develop their economy and improve their lives, and was deeply supported by the Indians.

In August 1810, Spain sent Venegas to Mexico to succeed as governor and continue its colonial policy. Mexico's liberal organization, the Literary and Social Society, decided to hold an armed uprising on October 1. Due to the traitor's whistleblower, the Spanish authorities sent troops to the city of Crotaro in an attempt to capture them all. When Hidalgo heard the news, he made a decisive decision and rang the church clock in the early morning of September 16. Dolores and nearby residents came after hearing the news. Hidalgo took to the rostrum and shouted: "My children! Do you want to become free people? Do you agree to take back the land that the hateful Spaniards took from our ancestors 300 years ago? "As soon as he finished speaking, there were passionate slogans under the stage. All the vigorous independence movement began.

Under the leadership of Hidalgo, the rebels won one after another, and the uprising team expanded rapidly. At the end of October 1810, the rebels marched on Mexico City, the capital. Soon after, in the name of the Grand Marshal of the Americas, he promulgated the Land Law and other decrees, which reflected the interests of the Indians and thus won the support of the people. In January 1811, the Spanish colonial army fought back crazily. During the retreat, Hidalgo was captured due to betrayal by traitors and was ambushed. He was killed on July 31. Hidalgo's heroic dedication was deeply admired by the Mexican people and was honored as the "Father of Mexican Independence". A bronze statue was cast in his honor for future generations to pay homage to.
