155 years ago today, April 22, 1870 (March 22, 1870 in the lunar calendar), Lenin was born. Lenin, a middle school student, was born on April 22, 1870 in Simbisk on the Volga River. After graduating from middle school in 1887, he entered the Law Department of Kazan University. He was expelled and imprisoned for one year for participating in revolutionary activities. In college and during his exile, Lenin began to study "Das Kapital" and other works by Marx and Engels. In 1889, Lenin moved to Samara, when he was already a loyal Marxist. In July 1903, the Second Congress of the Russian Social Democratic Party was held in London, forming the Bolsheviks (majority) represented by Lenin. Lenin participated in and led the Russian Revolution of 1905 (the first bourgeois democratic revolution). After the outbreak of the First World War, Lenin exposed the social chauvinism of the opportunists of the Second International and put forward the revolutionary slogan of "turning imperialist war into domestic war." Lenin wrote the book "Imperialism is the highest stage of capitalism", which revealed the laws of unbalanced political and economic development of capitalism and put forward the conclusion that imperialism is the eve of the proletarian revolution. In the article "On the Slogans of the European Federation", Lenin put forward the theory that socialism will win first in one country or a few countries. After the February Revolution in Russia in 1917, Lenin returned to China. He published the famous "April Outline", proposed the policy of transition from the bourgeois revolution to the socialist revolution, and led the great October Revolution. After the victory of the October Revolution, Lenin was elected Chairman of the People's Committee and led the Russian people to defeat the attacks of domestic and foreign counter-revolutionary armed forces under extremely difficult conditions, consolidate the dictatorship of the proletariat, restore the national economy, and embark on the path of socialism. In 1919, under the leadership of Lenin, the Communist International was established to actively promote the development of the international communist movement. In August 1918, Lenin was assassinated and seriously injured. Due to long-term overwork, his health deteriorated in 1923, and he finally died of illness and hemorrhage in 1924 at the age of 54.
