On April 9, 1997, the 32nd World Congress of the International Chamber of Commerce opened at the Shanghai City Exhibition Center. As a world-wide non-governmental business organization with important influence, the International Chamber of Commerce was established in 1919. Its purpose is to promote the development of international trade and investment through effective actions in the economic and legal fields. Currently, members of the International Chamber of Commerce are located in 140 countries and regions around the world, and national committees have been established in more than 60 countries. my country joined the International Chamber of Commerce in November 1994, and officially established the International Chamber of Commerce China National Committee on January 1, 1995. It is understood that this conference, co-sponsored by the International Chamber of Commerce and the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce in China, is a large-scale conference in the history of the International Chamber of Commerce and the first conference held by the organization in China.
