121 years ago today, January 18, 1904 (December 2, 1903 in the lunar calendar), the famous American actor Gary Grant was born. Gary Grant was born in the United Kingdom on January 18, 1904. He lived in Bristol, England as a child. At the age of 14, Grant dropped out of school, lied about his age and forged his father's signature, and joined Bob Pender's comedy troupe. While performing around with the troupe, he learned mime and acrobatics. In July 1920, he became one of the eight young actors selected by the troupe to travel to the United States. They performed 456 times on Broadway's GoodTimes and decided to stay in the United States to develop. In 1933, he starred in "Nongben's Affection" with actress Mai West, and became famous in Hollywood. He successively took on a series of films such as "The Wind and Moon in the Spring","Baby Care","Girlfriend Friday","Philadelphia Story","Poison and the Old Woman","Beauty Trap", and "Golden Jade Alliance". When filming the 1955 film "Catch the Thief", he received the blessing of director Alfred Hitchcock. He and Grace Kelly could improvise on the lines, and his talent for "beautiful and comedic language" was fully exerted.
