On this day, 39 years ago, on February 23, 1986 (January 15, 1986, the China Qigong Scientific Research Association was established. On February 23, 1986, the China Qigong Scientific Research Association was established in Beijing. The establishment of this research association marked the beginning of my country's multidisciplinary research on Qigong. Zhang Zhenhuan, chairman of the research association, presided over the inaugural meeting. Famous scientist Qian Xuesen made a long speech at the meeting. He proposed that the first step in Qigong scientific research should first establish the "phenomenological theory" of Qigong. He believed that "practicing practice can develop human intelligence and is good for personal health and the construction of the motherland's four modernizations. His speech aroused enthusiastic response and praise from participants. Relevant experts agree that my country's traditional qigong science contains rich natural philosophical thoughts, and conducting multidisciplinary research on it centered on life sciences is a far-reaching strategic task.
