On this day, 34 years ago, on September 17, 1991 (August 10, 1991 in the lunar calendar), Bailudong Academy first discovered Qing Dynasty test papers. On September 17, 1991, Liu Wenzheng, editor-in-chief of the Chronicle of Hukou County, Jiangxi Province, donated two test papers and a hand-copied textbook from Bailudong Academy during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty that he had collected at the home of Wu Dunzhu, a villager in Erjiawu Village, Jiangqiao Township, the county. This is the first Qing Dynasty test paper discovered by Bailuyuan Academy after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It is of certain significance for studying the examination system of academy education in the later period. There are two papers, one for the Gaolun test paper and the other for Li Yusun's test paper. They are stamped with the academy's red square seal and blue bar seal, indicating the silver paste paid. The test paper has rough edge paper, purple squares, regular ink script, 77 lines of Gao Wen and 87 lines of Li Wen. The nature of the test paper is "classics of ancient times" and is to explain or explain the content of Confucian classics. The teaching material consists of 14 articles from "Jin Shu" and "Liang Shu" copied by hand, with red-checkered tweed paper, 48 pages, and regular script in ink.
