On this day, 79 years ago, on April 23, 1946 (March 22, 1946, the writer and educator Xia Yuzun passed away. Xia Yuzun, named Zhu, the word Mian Zhan, and the name Nan, was later renamed Yuzun. Born in 1885. People from Shangyu, Zhejiang. In 1905, he went east to Japan to study and returned to China in 1907. In 1908, he served as an assistant translator at the Two-level Normal School of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. During the May 4th New Culture Movement, innovative Chinese education was promoted. In 1920, he taught at Hunan No. 1 Normal University in Changsha. Joined the Literary Research Society in 1921. Later, he worked in education in his hometown of Shanghai, and engaged in translation and literary creation. In 1930, he founded the magazine "Middle School Students". In 1937, he founded the magazine "Monthly Bulletin" and served as an editorial member of the Shanghai National Salvation Daily. He died of illness in Shanghai on April 23, 1946. He is the author of "Outline of Modern World Literature", translated into "Southern Tripitaka","Socialism and Evolution", etc., and compiled "The Selected Works of Xia Yuzun".
