Sholokhov (1905-1984) and Mihail Sholokhov (1905-1984) are outstanding representatives of Soviet literature in the 20th century. They are also writers who are very familiar to our readers and who still pay special attention to this day. Mihail Sholokhov was born on May 24, 1905 in the town of Vishensk on the Don River. In 1922, Sholokhov came to Moscow, began to engage in literary activities, and joined the literary group "Youth Guards." In 1928, the first part of "The Quiet Don River" was published in October magazine. The following year, Mr. Lu Xun invited He Fei to translate it, personally revised it, and wrote a postscript. "The Quiet Don River" won the Nobel Prize for Literature. In 1939, he became an academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union. During the Second World War, Sholokhov was awarded the title of "Hero of Socialist Labor" twice. In 1939, he received the Order of Lenin, in 1941, he received the Stalin Prize, in 1960, and in 1965 Nobel Prize for Literature. He died of illness on February 21, 1984.
