Li linfu

Li Linfu (January 3, 683 - 753) was a member of the imperial clan of the Tang Dynasty, with the small character of Genu. Be good at music, be able to change, and be good at drilling. During the Kaiyuan period, he was promoted to Zhongcheng, the censor, and the assistant minister of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. He made deep connections with Tang Xuanzong's favorite concubine, Consort Wu Hui, and eunuchs, and arrogantly listened to the emperor's wishes, so all the petitions and replies were in line with the will. In May of the 22nd year of Kaiyuan (734), he was awarded the title of Prime Minister and served as the Minister of Rites and the third rank of Tongshu. At the end of the 24th year of Kaiyuan (736), Zhang Jiuling was appointed as the head of the book, and he held the sole power. Li Linfu served as prime minister for 19 years. He was a self-indulgent dictatorship and avoided words, helping to lead to the Anshi Rebellion. The Eleventh Year of Tianbao (752) died of illness in October. After his death, Li Linfu was framed by Yang Guozhong. He had not yet been buried. He was stripped of his official title. His descendants moved to Lingnan, and his family property was lost. He was buried in a small coffin like a common man.

Li Linfu was one of the top ten traitors in China history (Qingfu, Zhao Gao, Liang Ji, Dong Zhuo, Lai Junchen, Li Linfu, Qin Hui, Yan Song, Wei Zhongxian, and He Shen).

Li Linfu falsely attached herself to Consort Wu Hui, so he was promoted to the rank of assistant minister of Huangmen. On May 28, the 22nd year of Kaiyuan (734), Xuanzong appointed Pei Yaoqing as a servant, Zhang Jiuling as the secretary of the Ministry of Rites, and Li Linfu as the third official of the Ministry of Rites. From then on, Li Linfu gradually monopolized power. During his 19-year career as prime minister, Xuanzong always believed in him. Li Linfu is a famous traitor who likes to play with political power. He may be sweet on the surface, but he plots and harms behind his back. Anyone who Xuanzong trusted or opposed him would always make contact with him personally, and when he was in power, he would design to remove this person. Even cunning people are often defeated by Li Linfu. He is good at music, has no talent, is good at adapting, and is good at drilling. Born in the imperial family of Li Tang, he is the great-grandson of Li Yuan's uncle and brother Li Shuliang. His grandfather, Li Xiaobin, was the former governor of Shi; his father, Li Sihui, was the official of Yangfu to join the army. At first, he served as a Thousand Ox Straight Chief (Palace Guard). In the early years of Kaiyuan, Prince Zhongyun was promoted. Soon after, through the relationship between his uncle and uncle's uncle, Qian Yao, he was promoted to the position of a state minister. In the 14th year of Kaiyuan (726 AD), he was transferred to Zhongcheng, a censor in charge of the Ministry of Punishment and assistant minister of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. At this point, he had become one of the top leaders of Li Tang. At that time, Consort Wu Hui was the only favorite, and Li Linfu used all the skills of flattery. Concubine Hui's son, King Shou, was very loved by Xuanzong. Li Linfu asked eunuchs to tell Concubine Hui,"May I protect King Shou (Li Mao) as a long-lived plan," which meant that he would support King Shou to ascend to the throne of emperor. Consort Hui was grateful when she heard this and often praised Li Linfu's "benevolent government" in front of Xuanzong. Because of this, he flattered Xuanzong's favorite concubine, Consort Wu Hui, and was promoted to the position of assistant minister of Huangmen. In May of the 22nd year of Kaiyuan (734 AD), he worshipped the prime minister and became the Minister of Rites, with the same rank as the Minister of Rites.

The eleventh year of Tianbao (752 AD) died of illness in October.

Comments: Although Li Linfu was a traitor around Emperor Minghuang of the Tang Dynasty, he had heard a lot about his crimes. However, since Emperor Minghuang of the Tang Dynasty could recognize that Li Bai, a poet, had no political talent, he must also be able to see the merits of Li Linfu. He is not useless. Li Linfu is indeed good about the atmosphere of the Tang Dynasty. Only he can control the generals in various places, including An Lushan. Li Linfu's social conflicts were extremely stimulating and could be triggered. After Li Linfu's death, An Lushan took advantage of the emptiness and corruption within the Tang Dynasty to launch a mutiny. Of course, the emperors of the Tang Dynasty also had their own responsibilities. Failure to recognize people and employ people was the fatal wound of any emperor in feudal society. We should not just blame Li Linfu, Yang Guozhong or An Lushan.
