Lu Zhi (241 BC-August 18, 180 BC), also known as Empress Lu, or Empress Dowager Lu of the Han Dynasty, Empress Dowager Lu, etc. A native of Danfu County, Dang County (now Shan County, Heze City, Shandong Province). The queen of Liu Bang, Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty (reigned from 202 BC to 195 BC). After Gaozu's death, she was honored as the Empress Dowager (195 BC to 180 BC). She was the first recorded queen and Empress Dowager in China history.
At the same time, Lu Zhi was also the first woman to be named after Qin Shi Huang unified China and implemented the imperial system. She was included in the book recording the imperial government affairs by Sima Qian, and later Ban Gu's Han Dynasty was still used. She pioneered the monopoly of power by relatives in the Han Dynasty.
During Lu Zhi's rule, the policy of using Huang Lao's techniques to rest the people was implemented, the law of holding books was abolished, and an order was issued to encourage people to collect books and present books, and the old code was restored. It laid a good foundation for the later rule of Wen and Jing. Sima Qian commented on her in "Historical Records of the Historian·Empress Lu" as follows: "If government does not come out of households, the world will be peaceful; punishment is rare, and sinners are favored; the people work hard to farm, and food and clothing will grow." "It gave great recognition to Empress Lu's administration.
