On this day, 89 years ago, on April 4, 1936 (March 13, 1936, the Northwest Bureau of the Communist Party of China promulgated a land policy. On April 4, 1936, the Northwest Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Northwest Office of the Central Government issued instructions requiring that areas that have not yet been allocated land should not confiscate the property of rich peasants and non-feudal exploitative parts of land, and that rich peasants have equal rights to land as poor and lower-middle peasants. After the "December 9th Movement", the domestic situation developed in the direction of anti-Japanese aggression, and establishing the broadest anti-Japanese national united front was an urgent task facing the party. This instruction from the Northwest Bureau was made in accordance with the "Decision on Changing the Strategy for Rich Peasants" of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on December 6, 1935.
