On the afternoon of March 3, the first meeting of the 11th National Committee of the China People's Political Consultative Conference opened at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. There were 2237 members who should attend the first session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, but the actual number was 2195, which met the quorum. Executive Chairman of the Presidium of the First Session of the 11th CPPCC National Committee Jia Qinglin, Wang Gang, Liao Hui, Pagbalha Glelangyai, Bai Lichen, Chen Kuiyuan, Abulahat Abdurixit, Li Zhaozhuo, Huang Mengfu, Dong Jianhua, Zhang Meiying, Zhang Rongming and Secretary-General of the Conference Zheng Wantong took seats in the front row of the rostrum. Party and state leaders Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao, Zeng Qinghong, Li Changchun, Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, He Guoqiang, Zhou Yongkang and others took seats on the rostrum to congratulate the convening of the conference. On behalf of the Standing Committee of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Jia Qinglin reported to the conference on his work over the past five years.
