On this day, 45 years ago, on February 22, 1980 (January 7, 1980, the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Public Security Administration Penalties" were re-promulgated. On February 22, 1980, the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Public Security Administration Penalties"(adopted at the 81st Session of the Standing Committee of the First National People's Congress on October 23, 1957) were re-promulgated. On August 28, 2005, the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Public Security Administration Penalties" was adopted and promulgated at the 17th Session of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress, and will come into effect on March 1, 2006.
