There is a glorious name among the French people, Joan of Arc, who is called "Hero of Orleans" with great respect. This famous hero in history is a young woman dressed as a man.

Joan of Arc was born on January 6, 1412, to a peasant family in the French village of Duremie. In 1337, the longest so-called Hundred Years' War broke out in European history. The two sides of the war were France and England. In 1428, the British army, after occupying Paris, devoted all their strength to besieging the city of Orleans, the gateway to southern France, and the situation was very critical. At that time, Joan of Arc, who was only seventeen or eight years old, asked Prince Charles to join the army in order to save the nation from danger. In April 1429, Joan of Arc was appointed as the military commander to rescue the city of Orleans. She dressed as a man and wore armor and led more than 6,000 people to attack the British army. She fought valiantly and took the lead, finally defeating the British army, lifting the siege, and turning the tide of the war, so the people honored her as the "Hero of Orleans".

In order to liberate the sacred territory of the motherland, Joan of Arc led his troops to Paris. In a battle near Cambian, he was captured by the Burgundy Group, an accomplice of the British invaders in France, and sold it to the British for 40,000 francs. She was brave and unyielding in front of the enemy. After holding her captive for a year, she was killed on May 30, 1431 at Louen Place. She sacrificed her young life for the liberation of the motherland.
