Forty-seven years ago today, on May 4, 1978 (March 28, 1978 lunar calendar), "China Youth" magazine and "China Youth Daily" resumed publication. "China Youth" magazine is a publication with a glorious revolutionary tradition. It was founded on October 20, 1923. Because of her enthusiasm for promoting Marxism-Leninism and bravely attacking various reactionary thoughts, she was constantly persecuted and banned by the Kuomintang reactionaries. On the eve of the birth of New China, "China Youth" resumed publication in Pingshan County, Hebei Province. Chairperson Mao, Premier Zhou, and Chairperson Zhu all gave her meticulous care during her lifetime. Chairperson Mao personally wrote the masthead for her. Due to the abuse and destruction of Lin Biao and the Gang of Four, this publication, which was especially popular with young people in all aspects of the audience, was forced to suspend publication for 12 years. On May 4, 1978, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided in the notice on the convening of the 10th National Congress of the Communist Youth League to resume publication of "China Youth" and "China Youth Daily" magazines. At the same time, "China Youth Daily", which was suspended for 12 years, is the central organ of the Communist Youth League and a tool for the party to educate young people about communism. In the 15 years from 1951 to 1966, under the kind care and encouragement of Chairperson Mao, Premier Zhou, and Chairperson Zhu, under the leadership of the Central Committee of the League and the enthusiastic support of the vast number of League cadres, League members and young people, it has made important contributions to the education of young people and the development of the League's work, forming a unique style and tradition, which is popular with young people.
