On this day, 88 years ago, on January 7, 1937 (November 25, 1936, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China entered Yan 'an. Roadmap for the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to enter Yan 'an On January 7, 1937, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China entered Yan' an. The peaceful settlement of the "Xi'an Incident" became the hub of the turning point of the current situation, eliminating the danger of civil war, realizing the transformation of China from civil war to anti-Japanese war, and promoting the formation and development of the Anti-Japanese National United Front. After the "Xi'an Incident", the Northeast Army withdrew from Yan' an and concentrated in Xi'an. According to the agreement reached with the Northeast Army, Yan 'an was taken over by the Workers' and Peasants 'Red Army. But at this time, Yan 'an was still held by more than a thousand people, including the Kuomintang local militia group and the county government security team. The day before Zhou Enlai went to Xi'an to discuss state affairs on December 15, 1936, he instructed relevant comrades to negotiate with Kuomintang county officials to strive to liberate Yan' an as peacefully as possible. If this failed, it would be resolved by the troops. On December 17, Jiang Hua led the Red First Regiment to Yan 'an and took over the county government. He quickly formed a working committee headed by Wang Guanlan and Jiang Hua. Wang Guanlan served as secretary and Jiang Hua served as Yan' an City Defense Commander and Political Commissar. In early January 1937, Huang Lin, head of the Central Guard Corps, led the guard troops to Yan 'an to prepare for the Party Central Committee to enter Yan' an. At this time, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Mao Zedong were still on security. One night at the end of December, Mao Zedong finished writing the "Statement on Chiang Kai-shek's Statement" and had just put down his pen when he saw the security guard coming in to deliver boiling water. He instructed him: "You guys should pack your things and pay off the things borrowed from your fellow villagers. Pay off and compensate for the damage. We will be moving in a few days." The guard asked,"Chairman, where should we move it? Mao Zedong said: "Moving to the largest city in northern Shaanxi, where there are cars, airports, and shops is much bigger and much better than security guards." The guard guessed and asked Mao Zedong: "Are we moving to Yan 'an?" Mao Zedong said with a smile: "You guessed right, we are moving to Yan 'an." On January 10, 1937, the villagers from the security guard all came to see Mao Zedong off. Everyone said with tears in their eyes: "We really don't want you and the Red Army comrades to leave!" Mao Zedong cordially said to the villagers: "The development of the revolutionary situation has forced us to leave here and move to Yan 'an. I went to Yan 'an to welcome new battles. When we arrive in Yan 'an, we will never forget the contribution made by the security people to the China revolution!" On this day, Mao Zedong led the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to reluctantly bid farewell to the villagers who came to see him off, left the security guard who had lived there for six months, and set out for Yan 'an. Mao Zedong and others arrived in Yan 'an on January 13 after a four-day long-distance march. When he was about to enter the city, Mao Zedong said to the comrades around him: "Yan 'an is a big place in northern Shaanxi, a big city in northern Shaanxi. Yan 'an has always been under the rule of the Kuomintang reactionaries in the past. Now that it has just been liberated, the masses still do not understand us. We must maintain good contact with the masses, pay attention to mass discipline, and do more propaganda work among the masses." On this day, when the people of Yan 'an heard that Chairman Mao had come, they all gathered on both sides of the road. There were Red Army commanders and soldiers, government officials, students, urban and rural people, as well as Red Guards who had come from the four townships and mass representatives from Ganquan and Fu County. The welcoming crowd lined up from the north gate to the mouth of Dabiangou several miles away. Everyone held high colorful triangular flags with slogans such as "Warmly welcome the Party Central Committee and Chairman Mao to enter Yan 'an","Long live the Communist Party of China", and "Unite to overthrow Japanese imperialism." At about 2 p.m., Mao Zedong and other central leading comrades passed through the northwest Sichuan of Yan 'an and down the Yangjiawan, Lanjiaping and Yangjialing roads. Representatives from all walks of life immediately ran forward to welcome them. Mao Zedong shook hands with the representatives one by one and said hello! At this time, a representative brought a high-headed horse with a large red cloth flower ball on its head and a shiny copper bell around its neck, and asked Chairman Mao to ride across the river. Mao Zedong thanked the people of Yan 'an for their kindness, declined riding, and walked down the river bank with the representatives, stepped on the ice, and crossed the river. He cordially and cordially sat shoulder to shoulder with the representatives and talked while walking. He asked with concern about the production and living conditions of the people of Yan 'an, and also asked about the work of various revolutionary groups. When Mao Zedong and others reached the mouth of Dabiangou, the sound of gongs and drums, suona and firecrackers sounded on both sides of the road! Mao Zedong and other central leading comrades smiled and frequently nodded and waved to the masses. When the welcoming crowd saw Mao Zedong walking, they were all excited. They all cheered and cheered, slogans and singing.
