88 years ago today, on April 27, 1937 (March 17, 1937 in the lunar calendar), Gramsci, the founder of the Italian Communist Party, died. Gramsci was born on January 23, 1891. In 1911, he entered the University of Turin to study. In 1914, he joined the Socialist Party. During the "First World War", he studied Marxism and became a famous theorist. In 1919, he founded the newspaper "New Order". In 1921, he broke away from the Socialist Party and formed another Italian Communist Party. In 1926, he was arrested and imprisoned. He died on April 27, 1937.
