On April 29, 2019 (March 25, 2019 in the lunar calendar), the 2019 China Beijing World Horticultural Exposition officially opened to welcome guests. At 9 a.m. on April 29, the 2019 China Beijing World Horticultural Exposition held an opening ceremony, marking that the 162-day international horticultural event was officially opened to domestic and foreign tourists. The opening ceremony kicked off in the lively opening drum performance "Drum Rhyme and Dragon". Nearly 400 domestic guests, 33 foreign ambassadors to China, more than 200 representatives of foreign exhibitors, and 160 exhibitors from various provinces, cities, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan attended the opening ceremony.
