On this day, 41 years ago, on May 10, 1984 (April 10, 1984 in the lunar calendar), the State Council further expanded the autonomy of state-owned industrial enterprises. On May 10, 1984, the State Council formulated the "Interim Provisions on Further Expanding the Autonomy of State-owned Industrial Enterprises", giving enterprises due power in ten aspects including production and operation plans, product sales, prices, material purchase, capital use, asset disposal, institutional establishment, personnel and labor management, wages, funds, and joint operations.
