On April 7, 1992, the European Community recognized the independence of the Yugoslav Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the same day, the United States announced its recognition of the independence of the Republics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia. On the 12th, the three political parties of Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia reached a ceasefire agreement again.
