62 years ago today, on January 21, 1963 (December 26, 1962 lunar calendar), the naming conference for the title of "Lei Feng Class" was held. Lei Feng Class On January 7, 1963, the Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China named the second platoon of the transportation side of an engineer regiment of the Shenyang Military Region where Lei Feng was alive as "Lei Feng Class". On January 21, 1963, the Ministry of National Defense held a naming conference for the title of "Lei Feng Class" for the fourth class where Lei Feng was alive. Zhang Xingji was the first monitor of Lei Feng's class, and he took over the glorious flag on behalf of the whole class. Zhang Xingji, who joined the army in 1959, served as the monitor of Lei Feng's class in 1960. Lei Feng unfortunately died in 1962. In January 1963, when the Ministry of National Defense awarded their class the honorable title of "Lei Feng Class", they were honored to meet Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoting, Zhu De, Deng Xiaoping and other older generation revolutionaries, and to pay tribute to them.
