In the early days of the uprising, the enemy was strong and the enemy was weak, so he led the rebel army to take advantage of the flaws, and sought opportunities to annihilate the Qing army in the fighting counties In March of the same year, Dongxiang, Wuxuan, Guangxi was embraced as the king of heaven, and with the construction of the five army chieftains system. And Ke Yong'an (now Mengshan), and the five chieftains were added as the five kings of the east, west, south, north, and wing, and the kings of the Ming Dynasty were all returned to the east King Yang Xiuqing to control. Changsha, Wuhan, and Xiajiujiang (now Jiangxi) were surrounded. In March 1853, Nanjing was occupied, and it was designated as the capital and renamed Tianjing. Later, he gradually underestimated the enemy and rushed forward. At the same time, he opened up three fronts of the Northern Expedition, the Western Expedition, and the defense of Tianjing. After changing the strategy, in the summer of 1856, the army was mobilized from the battlefield of the Western Expedition to attack the Jiangbei and Jiangnan camps of the Qing army, and the army regained its momentum. However, the internal contradictions of the leadership group were not handled properly, resulting in internal strife in Tianjing, the military strength was greatly weakened, and the situation was sharply reversed. Hong Xiuquan self-employed as a military advisor and worked hard to raise maintenance. In 1858, he re-established the five-army chief general system, and selected and reused young generals such as Chen Yucheng and Li Xiucheng, and the army's heart was revived. In order to rush to rescue the siege, Li Xiucheng and other "Thirteen Kings" led their troops to return from the front lines of Shanghai and Zhejiang, and they fought with the Hunan army outside Tianjing for 45 days, but failed to break the siege. Following Li Xiucheng's order, he took the northern part of the river and attacked the enemy far behind, not only failed to mobilize the Hunan army, but suffered heavy losses in troops. Hong Xiuquan lived deep in Tianjing, and repeatedly dispatched troops from various battlefields to rescue him. The strategy was passive, and the situation of the war was frowned. Suzhou fell in December 1863, and Tianjing was Refusing Li Xiucheng's suggestion to "let the city not go", he sat back and fell asleep. He died in June of the following year.
