Japanese war criminal and army general Seishiro Itagaki was born

Itagaki SeishiroGeneral of the Japanese Army, Class A war criminal. A native of Iwate Prefecture, born on January 21, 1885. Graduated from the Army University. Participated in the Russo-Japanese War. Served as a staff officer of the Japanese Army stationed in China, and has been active in Kunming, Wuhan, Shenyang and other places for a long time. From 1929 to 1934, he served as a senior staff officer of the Kwantung Army and a political advisor to the puppet Manchukuo. He actively planned the "September 18" Incident with Ishihara Kuan'er and others. In 1934, he served as deputy chief of staff of the Kwantung Army, manufacturing the "Independence" of Inner Mongolia and the Suiyuan Incident. In 1936, he served as chief of staff of the Kwantung Army and general of Jinzhong. In 1937, he served as the commander of the 5th Division, which was defeated miserably in the Battle of Taiyuan and Xuzhou. In June 1938, he served as Minister of the Army. In September 1939, he served as In April 1945, he served as the commander of the 7th Front Army and commanded the Japanese army in Malaya. In 1948, he was sentenced to hang by the International Military Tribunal for the Far East.
