According to a report by the Korean Central News Agency today (September 22), the 13th session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK was held on September 20th and 21st. Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Council, attended the event and delivered a speech on September 21st. Kim Jong Un said that North Korea will clearly stipulate in its national laws that North Korea and South Korea are two different countries and will never merge into one country.

Kim also noted that the U.S. and its allies abused power in order to safeguard their hegemony and ambitions, causing the global situation to become increasingly unstable and into a comprehensive crisis. The U.S. and its allies, despite North Korea's security concerns, often take provocative actions and further aggravate tensions. This year, the U.S. and South Korea's new governments have expressed a willingness to dialogue with North Korea to seek to improve relations, but its essence is to weaken North Korea's strength and undermine North Korea's system.

Kim Jong-un stressed that North Korea's transition to a nuclear state is an inevitable choice for the nation's survival. North Korea will never give up nuclear weapons, nor will it ever negotiate with its opponents to understand the removal of sanctions. However, if the United States gives up its attachment to denuclearization, acknowledges the reality, and seeks true peaceful coexistence with North Korea, there is no reason for North Korea not to negotiate with the US side.
