The fire of the peasant uprising at the end of the Sui Dynasty became more and more prosperous, and Emperor Yang of Sui became a frightened bird. In 616, he fled to Jiangdu. After arriving in Jiangdu, Emperor Yang of Sui was still "dissolute, dragging concubines and embracing Ji all day long", but his heart was empty and abnormal. He divined hexagrams every day and used wine to relieve his worries.

On April 10, 618 (March 14, the 14th year of Sui Daye), Hu Zilang killed Sima Dekan, the right Tuen Wei general Yu culture and launched a mutiny into the palace. Emperor Yang of Sui was captured. He saw that he was escorted by his original cronies. Knowing that the end was approaching, he untied a ribbon from his body and wrapped it around his neck. The soldiers used this ribbon to hang him, and the Sui Dynasty fell.
