67 years ago today, on March 15, 1958 (January 26, 1958 lunar calendar), the Academy of Military Sciences of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was established. The Academy of Military Sciences is a military academic research institution directly under the leadership of the Central Military Commission, a military scientific research center for the whole army, and an assistant to the Military Commission and the headquarters to guide the construction of the army from the height of military theory. Founded on March 15, 1958, Ye Jianying is the first president and political commissar. There are research departments such as the Scientific Research Guidance Department, the Political Department, Strategy, Campaign Tactics, Military System, Military History, Foreign Armies, and Military Encyclopedia. Successive presidents after Ye Jianying are: Song Shilun, Zheng Wenhan, Jiang Shunxue, Zhao Nanqi, Xu Huizi, Liu Jingsong.
