On December 10, 1949, Xinhua Daily was published in Chongqing and was the official newspaper of the Southwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. On April 30, 1949, Xinhua Daily was founded in Nanjing as the official newspaper of the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.
